verdict
A fantastic visual effects camera app, one that easily replaces the stock Android camera app
One of the most feature-packed camera app available, Vignette includes a wealth of features that are available in a surprisingly simple and tidy interface.
Vignette’s strengths lay in it’s ability to prepare a shot before you tap the snap button. It’s possible to set visual effects, add borders, choose the megapixel amount, set the light adjustment and add a timer.
The 68 visual effects include retro themes, toy cameras, a polaroid, tilt-shift, double exposure; the list is endless. Even without an effect applied, photos taken by the app nearly always look better than the default camera app.
However, there may be 68 visual effects to work with, but it’s not actually possible to see them applied to the live camera feed, meaning photos must be taken and rendered before the final result is shown. It’s also not possible to take photos larger than five-megapixels.

Its a great app but I would question whether this improves the standard camera on the Xperia Arc. The camera on that mobile is incredible.
Still got it though as its great fun when your messing about with pics.
I don’t think it has to improve it, but it’s nice to have alongisde the main camera app. I use it all the time.
