BlueStacks, commonly known for their work on bringing Android apps to desktop PCs, has today launched a new initiative looking to bring a substantial number of apps from the Google Play store over to Windows 8 and the new Surface Pro tablet.

The BlueStacks App Player has officially launched on the Surface Pro today, allowing users to invest in some of the biggest and best Android apps currently available. The 750,000 apps that have been brought across are a massive step up from the 30,000 Windows 8 apps that were available before BlueStacks’ venture.
